PART II
Continuing from part I, if you have not done so, create your
own set of beliefs that will create certainty in you, and
practice creating certainty in yourself: Realize that with
every problem comes the solution. With every adversity, set
back, heartache, etc. there is a seed of an equal or greater
good. However, you must have the patience and faith to look
for it. Refused to allow misery and disappointments and set
backs to have the last word. Stop asking people to do for
you what you (sometimes only you) can do for yourself.
Socrates said
that “Learning is remembering.” That means the
answer is already inside of you. All you need is within you
now-just waiting to come out. Just step-up and have the faith
and courage to look inside yourself and bring whatever it
is that you truly desire into reality. The visible world was
once invisible—inside of someone’s mind. If you
are struggling to change, or you know you should be doing
more, remember, the real you are inside waiting to be brought
into reality just like the oak waits inside the acorn. Become
one with your ideal and you will flourish; because, the
backside can not stand still when the head is moving forward.
| You can not serve two masters (Fear
or Faith); when confronted with a situation you either
follow your fear or your faith. Your mind can not entertain
two thoughts at one time –which one will it be?
Paraphrasing Tony, in your moments of decision,
your destiny is determined. Your have the power
to choose what you focus on in any given situation. What
happens to your or around you is not nearly as important
as what happens in you. You have the power to control
what feelings happen inside of you—never, ever,
give away that power. |
|
Running the risk of repeating myself:
Nothing has any power in your life other than that which you
give it-keep your power for you. “Under hopeless circumstances,
he hopefully believed!” Create yourself; invent yourself;
reinvent yourself. You have everything you will ever need
if you will just believe-and act on that belief. Thomas Edison
said, “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The
most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more
time.”
Make success your “only” option.
A lot of smart, talented and gifted people are merely surviving
when they should be thriving and setting the pace. Be a progressive
and active thinker. Always thrive to expand your knowledge
base in all areas of your life. And look at both sides of
a situation no matter how certain you are about a given answer.
If you ever feel that you have to be angry, have a
positive anger directed towards positive change. Like Tony
Robbins says, “We do things that emotionally affect
us, even though intellectually we know it may not be right,
but emotions create certainty over intellect.”
Therefore, stays focused and make open minded, well thought
out, decisions; because, your destiny is greatly influenced
by the decisions you make.
| If it’s true that we have
the “Power 2 Win!”, I think we could agree
that we also have or could acquire, the “Power 2
Do!” and accomplished many wonderful things in our
society. At least, I hope that is what the children are
being taught both at home and in our school system. If
they are not, we are all in trouble; because, the children
are our future. They are tomorrow’s leaders in training. |
|
Even though there maybe reasons
for some concern in this area, I have faith that all of us
(the whole village concept) have the children’s best
interest at heart.
Again,
why is it so hard to incorporate the “Power 2 Do?”
Remember a person who can read and does not read is no better
off than a person who can not read. One of the major obstacles
is the lack of time which is mainly caused by not having more
of a balanced life, i.e. always chasing activities and not
setting life goals, purpose and mission. The subtitle of this
website is: “Manage Your Life, Not Your Time.”
Many years ago I attended a seminar where Tony Robbins talked
about this concept. Even though I have not always followed
it, the concept always stuck with me. And, I can honestly
say that I have had my most productive periods when I consciously
follow this concept, which I do more and more with each passing
year. Motivational speaker, Les Brown, always,
says, “When I knew better, I did better!”.
